Centre establishes Mediation Council of India Under 2023 Law; Head office to be located in Delhi

The Central Government has formally established the Mediation Council of India under the Mediation Act, 2023, with its head office to be located in Delhi. The Ministry of Law and Justice, Department of Legal Affairs, issued a notification on August 27, 2026, under Section 31(1) of the Act, formally constituting the statutory body envisaged under the legislation.
