Defence Minister Rajnath Singh laid the foundation stone for five brownfield expansion projects worth Rs 3,500 crore by GRSE and Yantra India Ltd in Kolkata. Singh said India has the potential to become a global shipbuilding hub and reduce dependence on foreign countries. CM Suvendu Adhikari hailed Bengal’s development under the “double-engine” government.
